Bihar Election 2025: NDA unveils manifesto promising 1 crore jobs, free education, 7 airports, and major infra push

The NDA’s manifesto for Bihar polls pledges jobs for one crore youth, free education, seven airports, metro projects, and a Rs 2,000 monthly stipend for SC/ST students.

PATNA: (Oct 31) The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Friday unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, laying out an ambitious vision that includes jobs for one crore youth, free education from KG to PG, and a massive infrastructure expansion drive across the state.

The 69-page manifesto outlines plans to make one crore women ‘Lakhpathi Didis’, build seven new expressways, develop 10 industrial parks, and launch metro train services in four major cities — Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, and Bhagalpur.

In a significant welfare push, the NDA has pledged Rs 2,000 monthly assistance for SC/ST students pursuing higher education, 50 lakh new pucca houses, and free ration and healthcare coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family.

The alliance also promised a world-class medicity and one medical college in every district, aiming to make Bihar a hub for quality healthcare.

The manifesto, titled “Viksit Bihar Sankalp Patra 2025”, highlights a blend of welfare and development initiatives targeting youth, women, and marginalized communities. “Our focus is on empowering the youth, strengthening infrastructure, and ensuring inclusive growth,” NDA leaders said at the launch event in Patna.

The party’s infrastructure vision includes seven international airports to boost connectivity and investment, in addition to road and industrial corridor projects expected to generate large-scale employment.

Political observers say the NDA’s manifesto attempts to combine aspirational economic goals with social security promises — a strategy seen as key to countering the opposition’s campaign on unemployment and inflation.
