ISLAMABAD, August 14: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will visit Bangladesh on August 23, as ties between the two South Asian nations show signs of thawing following the ouster of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina last year.
Dar was originally scheduled to travel to Dhaka in April 2025, but the visit was postponed due to heightened tensions with India after the Pahalgam terror attack triggered a brief conflict between India and Pakistan.
According to official sources in Islamabad, the visit is now confirmed, with both governments expected to discuss steps to strengthen diplomatic and economic cooperation.
