SRINAGAR, Sept 24 – Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday arrested a 26-year-old man from South Kashmir’s Kulgam district for allegedly providing logistical support to terrorists involved in the April 22 Pahalgam attack, officials said.
The accused, identified as Mohd Yousuf Katari, was arrested following an intelligence input, police confirmed.
Investigators said Katari had assisted terrorists later killed in Operation Mahadev on July 29, when the Army’s elite para commandos eliminated three militants on the outskirts of Srinagar.
Among those killed was Sulieman alias Asif, the suspected mastermind of the Pahalgam attack that left 26 people, mostly tourists, dead. The others were identified as Jibran—linked to the Sonamarg Tunnel attack in October 2024—and Hamza Afghani.
