TORONTO, Sept 23 – Canadian authorities have arrested Inderjeet Singh Gosal, a Khalistani leader, in Whitby, Ontario, on multiple firearms-related charges, local media reported Monday.
According to Global News, the Ontario Provincial Police took the 36-year-old into custody on Friday for careless use of a handgun and other offences.
Gosal appeared in Oshawa court on Monday alongside Arman Singh, 23, from Toronto, and Jagdeep Singh, 41, a New York resident. All three face similar firearms charges, court documents revealed.
Authorities have not yet released further details on the case or possible links to extremist activities.
