Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Yunus Invites President Trump to Visit Dhaka

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus invites US President Donald Trump to Bangladesh during a UNGA reception attended by global leaders in New York.

NEW YORK, Sept 24 – Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on Tuesday invited US President Donald Trump to visit Bangladesh during a reception hosted by the American leader on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Yunus, currently attending the UNGA, joined the reception at Trump’s invitation and exchanged pleasantries with several world leaders, including King Felipe VI of Spain, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay.

The Chief Adviser also held brief discussions with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor during the event.

No official date for a potential visit by President Trump has yet been announced.
