COLOMBO, Sept 27 – Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held a cordial discussion with US President Donald Trump during a special dinner reception hosted by the American leader in New York on Tuesday (Sept 23).
According to the President’s Media Division, the event at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel was attended by heads of state participating in the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
While details of the conversation between the two leaders were not immediately disclosed, officials described the interaction as “warm and friendly,” noting that both sides expressed interest in strengthening bilateral ties.
