South Korea, July 31: Samsung has unveiled its financial results for Q2 2025 and dropped major hints about its product roadmap for the second half of the year. The South Korean electronics giant confirmed that it will launch the much-anticipated Galaxy S25 FE, a tri-fold smartphone, and the Project Moohan XR headset, setting the stage for a busy lineup through the end of 2025.
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Set for Early Launch
During the earnings call, Daniel Araujo, Vice President of Samsung’s Mobile Experience division, revealed that the Galaxy S25 FE would arrive earlier than last year’s model. While the Galaxy S24 FE launched in late September 2024, its successor could debut as early as August or early September 2025.
Expected specifications for the Galaxy S25 FE include:
-
Exynos 2400 SoC
-
8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage
-
4,900mAh battery
-
50MP triple rear camera, 12MP front camera
-
Color options: Icy Blue, Jet Black, Navy, White
-
Runs on One UI 8
This early launch is a strategic move to boost Samsung’s presence in the mid-premium Android market ahead of the holiday season.
Samsung Tri-Fold Smartphone and XR Headset Coming Soon
Samsung also confirmed two ambitious hardware innovations for late 2025:
-
Tri-Fold Smartphone: Likely named the Galaxy Z TriFold, this new foldable is expected to debut in October 2025. While previously rumored to be called the “Samsung G Fold,” the Z TriFold is said to feature a unique triple-folding display, pushing the boundaries of foldable phone design.
-
Project Moohan XR Headset: Powered by the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset, the headset was recently spotted on benchmarking sites. It will mark Samsung’s foray into the extended reality (XR) space, putting it in direct competition with Meta and Apple.
More Devices in the Pipeline
Samsung also revealed plans to release:
-
Galaxy Tab S11 series
-
New Galaxy A-series phones like Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy A07, both of which have already surfaced in certification listings
As Samsung doubles down on innovation and expands its device portfolio, the coming months promise significant momentum for the brand, especially in global markets where competition in foldables and wearables is heating up fast.
