Washington, 25 October, 2025: India’s Ambassador to the United States, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, held discussions with US Deputy Secretary of Energy James Danly on strengthening the India-US energy security partnership and expanding bilateral trade in the energy sector.
The talks focused on recent developments in energy cooperation and advancing mutual interests in sustainable and secure energy solutions. The meeting also took place amid ongoing negotiations for a new India-US trade deal, which officials say is “very near” to conclusion.
An official involved in the discussions said on Friday that the agreement is in its final stages, signaling growing strategic and economic collaboration between New Delhi and Washington.
