New Delhi, August 13: India and Singapore reaffirmed their commitment to deepening ties during the third India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) held in New Delhi on Wednesday. The meeting brought together top ministers from both nations, focusing on strengthening their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and exploring new areas of collaboration.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who hosted the discussions, praised the Singapore delegation for their dedication to advancing bilateral cooperation. He highlighted that strong synergy between government and industry will be key to unlocking the next phase of relations.
“Delighted to attend the 3rd India Singapore Ministerial Roundtable in New Delhi,” Jaishankar posted on X, thanking Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong and other Singapore ministers for their active role in strengthening the partnership.
The ISMR also held a productive session with the India-Singapore Business Roundtable (ISBR), where industry leaders exchanged views on expanding economic engagement, trade, and investment flows.
From India’s side, the meeting was attended by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Railways, IT, and Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Singapore’s delegation included DPM Gan Kim Yong, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Home Affairs K Shanmugam, Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, Digital Development and Information Minister Josephine Teo, Minister for Manpower Dr. Tan See Leng, and Acting Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow.
The two sides identified new avenues to broaden cooperation in areas such as digital technology, transport, manpower development, and security.

India and Singapore have maintained a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership since 2015, marked by close economic, defence, and cultural ties.
